Light the Night Illuminates Atlanta This Weekend

This Saturday the Leukemia and Lymphoma society is holding their
annual Light the Night Walk at Centennial Olympic Park.  The walk is
meant to raise money, awareness, and inspiration for patients and
their families.  The funds raise from the walk go towards blood cancer
research, educational materials, and family support groups.  Every
walker who becomes a Champion for the Cures by raising at least $100
carries an illuminated balloon, red for supporters, white for
survivors, and gold in memory of a loved one lost to cancer.

The walk is two miles through downtown Atlanta.  Because the walk is
done at a leisurely pace, feel free to bring strollers, walkers and
pets!  Registration and festivities for the walk will begin at 4 p.m.
and the Actual Walk will kick off at 7 p.m.  The walk will take place
rain or shine.  You can visit
http://www.lightthenight.org/ga/register/ to register to walk in this
inspirational and fun event!
