We are thrilled to introduce our newest summer intern, Jillian Sobeck. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Jillian will be with us through the summer from Clemson University. Welcome Jillian!

What made you choose Communication Studies as your area of study?
I knew right out of high school that I wanted to have a career in that I would be constantly interacting with people. Therefore, I chose my major at Clemson to be Communication Studies so I could learn more about public relations and advertising.

What is your dream job?
My dream job is working for a large public relations firm in a big city where I could preferably work in the television and music field of public relations.

What are you most looking forward to in your internship with Scholz Communications?
I am excited about learning more about social media and how is it changing the business model in public relations. I am also looking forward to learning how to become a better writer and blogger.

What is your most embarrassing college moment?
One time I accidently fell asleep at the library and took about an hour nap and I woke up and my friends were all taking pictures of me passed out at the library with their blackberries.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I like to play sports and I love to paint and do print making. I also love the beach, lake, and mountains.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
Definitely ice cream! Birthday cake ice cream in particular, though!

In light of Mother’s Day this Sunday, National  Moms Nite Out will be having an event celebrating moms of all ages this Thursday, May 6th in Marietta. Our client, Posh Tot Events, will be co-hosting this fun and festive event for mothers of Atlanta! Appetizers and wine will be served, and moms will be pampered with massages and makeovers.

We are thrilled to announce that Eclectic Music, an intown music school run by the multi-talented Casey McCann, has joined the Scholz Communications family.  Casey founded the school in 2002, when she taught lessons out of a one-bedroom apartment on Greenwood Avenue.  Eclectic Music now has over twenty teachers, hundreds of students, two locations and a unique performance studio.  We are looking forward to working with Eclectic Music on marketing and communications strategies to support its next phase of growth.
